I have this problem too.

Audio is looking good under "More info" But cannot see any output under "Sound".
I'm running in 64-bit, could that be it ?

I've applied ALC8xxHDA, AppleHDA Rollback and the Non-DSDT for 889.

Best regards
Rickard

we found a semi-perfect solution for us:

we installed

* hda enabler.kext

and

* legacy hda.kext

in extras/extensions.
(via the terminal to avoid permission problems)

we now have sound on all channels.

the only downside is, that the preference settings are reset to "internal" after every system boot.

You mentioned that your build did not come out of sleep. Make suer you install the Sleepenabler.kext from the downloads section. it worked for me. Audio is still killing me too.
