Hello All,

Thank you very much in advance for any replies.

Just a quick intro got a free old IBM Think Centre with Pentium 4 HT chip from a friend.

I have successfully booted this into the MAC OS X Installer. Very Happy.

I have hit my first bump. As I expected. How do I format the HDD so that it is read by disk utility. I only have a Macbook so cant format the hard drive with the macbook to be Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

My second computer is a PC running Windows 7. Is it possible to use some sort of program to do this or anything anyone else could suggest.

Regards and thanks again,

Revo

Does the machine use a SATA drive and does it have an option in the BIOS to enable AHCI?

As otherwise it won't work, but if you can enable those options, then you will see the drive in the OS X installer and be able to format it from there.
