So I am using a nice apple keyboard now but when I want to get into my BIOS I need to plug in a standard PC keyboard as the Apple Keyboard lacks the standard Del key.
Anybody know how to enter the BIOS just using the Apple Keyboard, either by using a specific keystroke combination or by modifying the BIOS to accept a different keystroke?
Regards
rabbit.

are you using a wireless keyboard? if so then try holding fn+delete (backspace). if you have a wired keyboard just use the second delete key (forward delete).

I have the Short Wired Keyboard with no "Del" key. It just has the Apple "delete" key which is actually backspace as far as the BIOS is concerned.
I tried the fn+delete at reboot but that did not work, unfortunately.
I will have to buy the full sized keyboard next time I guess. I actually thought it didn't have a del key either.
Thanks again

also just a tip for other users with the big Apple keyboard. i noticed to i overclock i had to press "clear", which is the where the numlock button is on a PC keyboard, to enter a BLK value. i dont think this will be a problem on the mini Apple keyboards as there is no numpad.

r. This really sucks I too just bought the Apple wireless keyboard and now can't get into the bios. I threw away my old keyboard as it had some flaky keys. Now I wish I had saved it. I guess I'll have to buy a second keyboard just to get into the bios? Live and learn...

Buy a ASROCK P55 MoBo! Then you can access the BIOS with the F2 key! It function like a charm!

That's odd... I'm using the wired version of your Apple keyboard and it's working just fine. I've actually been surprised by how accurate each key has been while inside BIOS...

So your wired keyboard looks like rabbit74's picture above with only one delete key (which is actually a backspace key)? And that delete key gets you into the BIOS setup if you press it on boot? If not, what key do you press to get into the BIOS setup menus on boot?

Chaps, any idea about this? I've got the same wired keyboard on the pic and I've no DEL key to enter my Gigabyte bios....
